Re-entry
As many of you noted, it was a very fun weekend. Hard work and harder play. More fun than I’ve had in a very very long time.
I found re-entry into work to be a little difficult. Not because of the usual surreal experience of realizing that 24-hours ago I was somewhere else, surrounded by some different people, talking and laughing about completely different things. But also because I am tired.
Thursday night was after 1 a.m.
Friday night was 2:30 a.m.
Saturday night 2:00 a.m.
Sunday night 3:00 a.m.
It was wonderful.
I spent Tuesday evening with DS2. We watched “The Court Jester” (an old Danny Kaye movie) and actually got one laugh from him. But only one. And at the end. Still, I feel like I did my parental duty by him, making sure he saw the “knighting ceremony” and “vessel with the pestle” bit.
What? You don’ know them either?
Well, here you go. But really, put it on your Netflix. It’s worth it just to see Danny Kaye and Basil Rathbone fence.
