Grateful

Stuff that’s making me feel good these days. In no particular order.

  1. My boys will pretty much do anything I ask without mouthing off as long as I’m specific and clearly ask them to have it done by X time.
  2. The materials for the shower repair only cost $80 (so far)
  3. It really makes a difference in my mood having my house clean. It feels more hopeful.
  4. About 20 people showed up to my adult forum on social justice/faith-based organizing today. Even though I didn’t work very hard at all for turnout because of the shower DRAMA.
  5. I was able to give SB one of the little bikes for Master B. I’ll be able to get the other little bike to them next week and Miss M can use that one.
  6. I have room in my house to be able to host friends who need a place to stay for a few days.
  7. Even if I don’t have a working shower, I have a working tub.
  8. I have friends who will ask to stay for a few days when they need to and don’t mind that there’s only a tub.
  9. I can afford to feed friends who come to stay.
  10. The veggies from the CSA are really good.
  11. I actually am looking forward to my workouts. (shhhhhhhh!!!)
  12. I got to ride my motorcycle a little bit this weekend, in between rain showers.
  13. I’m feeling at peace about this incident.
  14. I got to watch two movies this weekend that had men in kilts. Mrs. Brown and The Big Tease.  (I didn’t say they were both good movies!)
  15. I was able to have a little nap this afternoon.

OK. That’s it for today. Peace.

A clean house always makes me feel really good as well. Some say I am OCD about cleaning.

You always have to be specific with us boys…it does not change when we get older either.

At least you can bathe and the shower materials are not one of the things you are bathing in!

I’m with you on the clean house. I really need to get cracking on mine.

I like the idea of thinking of things you’re grateful for. I need to work on that.
