Grateful a Trois

HEY! It’s a series. Who knew?

Anyway, here’s some stuff that made me feel good this week. As usual, no particular order.

  1. I got to sit and watch the Tony awards. Without much interruption. I made myself a nice florentine omlette (steamed spinach, goat cheese, green garlic, eggs…all grown within 150 miles of me) and poured a glass of wine and had a great time. (Next year, maybe a party?)
  2. I got some very nice compliments this week. And even though I’m working hard not to need too much validation from them, they were amazingly nice. Someone at work commented on my weight loss. My neighbor whom I haven’t seen in months because she’s been teaching in China, said I look younger. And the mom of a boy on DS2’s baseball team( turns out to be someone I worked with years ago at The Fancy Pants Ad Agency) said I looked happy. And Churlita commented that I’ve been sounding happier.
  3. BP brought a friend over on Tuesday and even though we didn’t get to go actually buy paint, they helped me finish packing up the bookshelves in the dining room and then carried those big things out to the garage for me. And his friend repotted some of my house plants that needed some TLC. (I’ve been meaning to, just never got to it.
  4. I got to watch Season 1 of Sex in the City. (no I’d never seen the "real" series because I won’t pay for TV.)
  5. My shower is finished. The hole in the dining room wall is repaired. My house is cleaner than it was last week.
  6. Even though I wasn’t perfect in my exercising, I’ve increased my activity, I’m doing more of it, and I’m feeling better.
  7. My fruit share in the CSA started this week. I was wrong in thinking that it was all going to be locally grown, but it is all organic and in partnership with the local farm. Peaches, apricots, cherries. And locally grown strawberries. Mmmmmm. Eating healthy can be very delicious!

The list is shorter this week. Not because I have less to be thankful for, but because I’ve been way to busy to remember more. That is a bit sad, really.

I was happy to have a great weekend with my girl.

Sounds like things are picking up for you and turning towards the better after a couple of yucky weeks. Good
