The Grateful Quartet

Hey dance fans. It’s Sunday, the day I’ve decided to count my blessings. Or at least to publish the list from the week.

So, without further introduction, here’s the list of stuff that made me feel good this week and/or that I’m grateful for.

  1. I know that sentence should have ended "for which I’m grateful" but I still didn’t change it.
  2. 3-hour naps on Sunday afternoon that make at least some of my outlook better.
  3. That I have now paid for my November vacation. All that’s left is saving for the spending money.
  4. My boss acts like a doofus and laughs at me when I do. So I can laugh at him when he does. Even when it’s front of other people.
  5. It’s summer and the weather has been warm and beautiful. The light lasts until 10 p.m. and I have been able to be present enough to notice it.
  6. 5 pints of fresh organic strawberries in this week’s CSA bag.
  7. Watching the backyard chickens scratch around the back yard at the place I pick up my CSA share.
  8. Getting caught up in projects around the house.
  9. I’ve got enough to share with a friend who was on the edge.
  10. I’m so much better with weekends without the boys that I was four years ago. Or two years ago.
  11. I worked from home three (3!!!) days this week.
  12. There was all kinds of things going on in the metro this weekend (Pride, some big game with the Twins, a big festival) and they CLOSED 10 miles of I-35 and shut down part off the light rail for access to a water main nearby. And I didn’t have to deal with any of it.
  13. I have not turned on the AC yet. I’m feeling smug and superior about that. But that counts for "good" this week.
  14. During a session of The Great Declutter I found a 1 GB flash drive that works with my laptop and OSX 10.5.3…(the other flash drive we have stopped playing nice when I upgraded the last time.)

Wow, that’s great that you haven’t used the A/C yet! I had to turn mine on yesterday and for a few days last week.

My daughter keeps taking it upon herself to turn on the AC. i just told her that if she wanted to pay the bill, she could go ahead and turn it on. She hasn’t tried to since.

I have a long list of things I’m grateful for. One of them is you.

I’m glad you had a great weekend. With bonus organic strawberries!

    Huge hugs of thanks.
