Blessings of the week:
- Friends and acquaintances who have had mice in their house are free with the advice and encouragement. And sympathy.
- Smart alec remarks about catching mice: "You know, it takes a lot of ‘em to make a pie."
- Drop-off laundry service
- My Rebel is finished having her carb and fuel line cleaned
- I got to spend hours of quality time with my boys
- I got to spend a free (except for gas and the food I brought) weekend in a beautiful north woods cabin
- I have extended family that are interested in reconnecting
- I went to church with my uncle, which we had never done, and talked about some "God stuff" which was scary but good.
- Most of my cousins and their families are NOT right-wing conservative wing-nuts.
- The ones that are didn’t show up to the mini-reunion.
- There was still a lot of diversity of opinion during the weekend.
- I got really great gas mileage on the trip (36 mpg for one tank. Overall 32mpg!! pretty good for a 7 year old care with 195,000 miles on it.)
