Metaphorically Poolside
Metaphorically speaking, Re: this post, it turns out all I’m really ready for is to get my suit on. When it comes to actually taking off the cover-up and getting in the pool, I can’t seem to get there.
But it’s OK to sit on the lounge and gaze out over the pool and enjoy the view.
Eventually, I’m sure I’ll have the courage to actually get in. Or maybe, my friends will come along and throw me in. Either way, I know I won’t spend the whole rest of my time in the shade with a book.
In other news, I spent most of the day at an ISAIAH planning meeting. I made it home just before it started to rain. Which was good, since I rode my motorcycle. I had a heck of a headache though, from the combination of not eating breakfast and having a late lunch and the weather system that came through (hence the rain.) I laid down with an ice pack "for a little bit" and three hours later managed to drag myself back to the shores of consciousness in order to make dinner for the boys.
Don’ you just love water metaphors?

When you do decide to make that flying leap, make sure to mention the fact that you have a motorcycle, because that’s pretty hot.
