Grateful - the 7th Edition

Stuff that made me happy this week:

  1. Our interim associate pastor is unflappable. She added the installation service in at the last minute without a single whine, bitch or moan, and didn’t it with grace and confidence such that no one felt uncomfortable or awkward.
  2. I got most of the dining room sanded, washed and primed over the weekend all by myself.
  3. I’ve got at least one friend who will come over and take dead mice out of my house for me.
  4. Getting to ride my motorcycle to the ISAIAH meeting Saturday (longest ride so far… about 25 miles) and not getting rained on.
  5. Finding out that the most frequent bus route in my neighborhood stops right outside my office building.
  6. Deciding to trade in my parking pass for a bus card.
  7. DS2’s teeth extraction went smoothly.
  8. Beating DS1 in Wii golf.
  9. 2 lb loss finally FINALLY showing up on the scale.
  10. Feeling another shift in the shape of my body.
  11. Giving myself permission to not work myself to death.
  12. I got to watch Season 2 of "Sex in the City" over the course of the week. (It’s very nice to have friends who share their DVD collections.
  13. Being able to have CB come one more time to clean and coming home to clean floors, clean bathrooms and a clean kitchen. AND cleaned kitchen cupboards!
  14. Finding out that beets, especially organic beets from my CSA, don’t taste as horrid as I remember them from childhood. In fact, they’re kinda good!
  15. Boys who comment on how good my cooking is.
  16. Taking a bike ride with DS2.

You have much to be grateful for. You need to give yourself permission not to work yourself to death more often.
