torchlight parade
Around 2 o’clock this afternoon, I decided I didn’t want to go home and hunt Mickey or clean or paint. I thought back and realized it’s been weeks since I’ve done anything just for fun.
So I sent out an email to a bunch of friends to see if any were up for a spontaneous attendance at the Aquatennial parade tonight. I probably haven’t been to the Torchlight parade since high school.
No one answered.
Now, I’m home after teaching my one and only accordion student (another great lesson!) and while I’d like to be downtown, having an adult beverage and watching people and flirting and such, the idea of figuring out what to wear, getting down there and being alone in a crowd just does not have the appeal.

It’s the kind of thinking that will keep me in the house for days! But I think you’ll be okay.

I have not figured out what to wear in years…clothes are clothes. Alone in a crowd sucks.

Aw. I wish even one person had been interested. You sound like you need adult company…All us single parents do.
