Playing Catch-up

Not a very poetic or eloquent recap but since this place is basically for me, I just need to get some basic account of the weekend down on "paper." A sorry excuse for a post it may be, but it’s all I’ve got for now.

Not dead but still super tired/fatigued. It was so great to spend the weekend with the Ya-Ya’s . The group will be awash with babies come spring and that will prove to make the July gathering a lot of fun. SrK and J are all divested of their stuff and I’m the proud new owner of a used gas grill and a couple of rugs for the porch. I can’t believe they’re leaving for Mexico on Sunday and won’t be back for at least 4 years!

Sr.K’s consecration went so well! Sr.AK was less crazy than usual and actually pretty easy to get along with. Sr.NS was all relaxed and philisophical from vacation. I thought it was typical that SrMC and her mom came late - and walked across the front of the sanctuary to join the rest of the Ya-ya’s in the pew. Nothing like making an entrance!

Sr.NS has a line on a call for me, and Sr.AK basically said I should look for first call and not waste time with another corporate job. Of course that means I have a small book to write! 20 pages of approval essay and three first call forms: A, B, C and R!

Off to some theological creative writing. After dinner, that is.

Well, I read about all the things you’re involved in and I think “no wonder she’s tire!”

    Sounds like a good weekend.

I’m not a fan of gas grills, but the rugs sound nice. Now, get some rest, damn it.
