keeping up? taking care? Who are you kidding?

I’m giving up on the attempt to keep up with taking care of everyone and everything.

That might even mean me.

Uh oh. I hear that. Loud and clear.

    I’ve bellowed that before, actually.

    Dude.

    DUDE.

    SHIT.

Okay. There’s a huge leap between the first half of your post and the second. In fact, one would probably posit that the first half is part of the opposite of the second.

    Wait. That makes no sense.

Okay. What I’m saying is: Not taking care of everyone and everything will ALLOW you to take care of yourself.

    No. Let me reverse that.

It’s only by taking care of yourself that you can truly BEGIN to take care of anyone or anything else. (The “everyone and everything” is clearly impossible.)

So, Jesus, take a step back and take care of YOU. Drop other stuff if you have to. Be less than SuperMom for a wee bit. Do what you have to do to attend to yourself.

And don’t write shit that scares me like this.

    Love.

Dude. I hit this point this week. Sometimes it’s nice to take a step back, take a deep breath and then just “schedule” some you time. I declared Sunday pajama day. This way I allow myself ZERO obligations or commitments and just decompress from the prior week and prepare for the next.
    Good luck.
