Monday mess

Yesterday I played the role of the invalid. I wasn’t sick but I didn’t do a darn thing. I left church before the second service. Came home, made cheese and crackers for lunch and put in Sound of Music and laid down on the couch and slept like the dead until DS2 came home.

Then slept some more.

At the end of the movie, DS2 came back downstairs (he did not watch the whole movie with me, but I think he was there for some of it.) and asked if we could go to Target. His zipped hoodie was broken. Of course! We ate (leftover) stew for lunch first and then headed out. We had to go to three different stores but I think DS2 is happy with what we found.

We came home and (surprise!) sat on the couch and watched a movie. “Holes”

At the end of that movie we ate a frozen pizza. There wasn’t anything good on TV. We couldn’t watch the Twin fail against the Yankees so I went to bed around 9:30. You know because of the strenuous day I’d had.

Anyway, I woke up to this mess this morning. I’m going in to the office, but not quickly.

You are such a good mommy – 3 stores! Now that is dedication, especially when you weren’t feeling 100%. My DH is VERY jealous of you and your blanket of happiness (for him not me). I am not jealous, but will be in a few months. Hopefully fall will return for a few more weeks for you all.
