weak-end(s NOW)

It has been another week in “paradise” at Evil Corporate Job (ECJ.)

I have to stop thinking “Wow! this is the most absurd/infuriating/frustrating/fill-in-the-blank thing that could ever happen!” because without fail the next day tops it.

It is likely we will hear this coming week about the closing of the Minneapolis corporate headquarters. JH is trying to get me to “hang on for the severance” package but 1) I’m not sure I can hang on that long and 2) there’s no guarantee of a severance package.

In the meantime, the No New Groceries project is going well. I’ve been presented with a lot of information about hunger issues and food waste and all sorts of interesting things that, if I were organized I would have posted or mused about here. But between working hard (still) for ECJ and cooking from scratch most evenings that I’m home, and chasing the nights I’m not cooking – I haven’t much time or energy to contemplate and/or write.

Of course, I’m getting sort of tired of the numbers of times I write that here.

Tomorrow starts NaBloPoMo. I’ve completed this project two years in a row now (see those badges over there?) so I think I’ll give it a whirl again this year. Just post SOMETHING every day as an attempt to end the weakness.

Tonight, G and I were going to a party but the hostess has come down with the flu. So, I think we’ll be watching movies instead. With the lights out and the shades drawn so hopefully the Trick-or-Treaters will pass us by. Or maybe I’ll have him help me change batteries in the smoke alarms.

In any case, my Big Saturday Project is the Kitchen. Maybe tomorrow I’ll post a couple before/after pics. And you can all both wonder how the Health Department has never been involved here before…

Me,too! I’ve been posting every day now for a couple weeks, so what’s a month!

Good to catch up. I check every day, for what it’s worth, so your efforts are not wasted. :-)

I’m barely posting these days; I don’t even have travel as an excuse.

Looking forward to the Before and After of your kitchen!
