9 months

I had no obligations or commitments today! Can you believe it?

Libby the Wonder Poodle and I slept in a bit. Then I took a bunch of family photos over to the Picture Framing Supply place and picked out mats and had them cut. I needed to have them custom cut because these are pictures my great-grandfather took and my grandfather reprinted and they’re odd sizes. I spent a couple of hours at the store. They had a steady stream of customers there for custom framing projects and such.

After that I stopped at Michael’s to buy some stock frames for the pictures I matted. Then I wandered over to Barnes & Noble to see if I could look at the new Nook (the competitor to the Kindle). Turns out they won’t have them in stock until “black” Friday — which is a day I refuse to step foot in a retail center under any condition.

But I did run across this: only-the-super-rich-can-save-us

which I immediately bought for G who is a BIG Nader fan. I had it gift wrapped and gave it to him as a present “for no reason.”

Later, after dinner he mentioned that today was the nine-month anniversary of our first dance.

Just a reminder that I’m NEARIING THE END of the No New Groceries challenge. I expect to save about $1000 this month and have donated $100 to Lutheran World Hunger. I’ll donate another $1 for every $1 one of you donates to a hunger cause – local, national or international – up to another $100.

So far we’re up to $64. Anyone else?

9 months! That is wonderful, remember how funny we all thought it was when he asked you out…now it all seems so normal. Glad you two are together.
