This Journey

Thoughts, rants, prayers, sermons I'll never give and other stuff gathered as I make my way through this life.

Christmahanukwanzaakah Announced!

The 6th Annual Christmahanukwanzaakah concert was announced over at Neilochka’s place yesterday. I missed last year, but I have declared that this is the year of My Big Come Back Appearance.

Here’s my invitation to you:

1) Go over to Neil’s and sign up in the comments to contribute to this blogosphere community party

2) Go listen to the concert on the 18th (and click all the links and do all that old school bloggy community stuff)

3) Give me a suggestion of what to play! What’s your favorite holiday song (doesn’t have to be a Christmas song!!!!) that you think gets ignored. Some obscure family traditional favorite? Put it in the comments and if I can find the music or can learn it off a recording, I’ll play it for Neil’s concert. If I get a bunch of suggestions… well, we’ll cross that bridge if we come to it. There’s only a few folks reading regularly now anyway so maybe it won’t be an issue.

Anyway….

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were unable to count all for which you are grateful. I know my prayers are filled with folks for whom this season is going to be more of struggle than usual.

Peace

–NFH

A paradox wrapped in an enigma playing the accordion. I'm a sinner-saint, child of God working at the cross-roads of church and world. A Deaconess called to connect people living near the center with people on the edge and to help your life sing (literally and figuratively) while doing it. People don't always get the deaconess part. Could be the swearing, the corporate job, or the wine.
