Closing night

Our last show was at Centennial Lakes Park, a park in a suburb of Minneapolis (Edina) that caused me to remark “We’re playing Disney tonight, folks.”
We’re going to try a new thingy tonight. A Slide Show!!! these are all pictures from backstage that I took (so I’m not in them. heh.)

a Great weekend

Friday night, I did theater with a great bunch of people (did I mention that McKilt brought 5 people to that show? No. Well, not much more to tell there. Aside from the bit o’ confusion it raises. More on that a different day, maybe.)
Saturday, I got my house clean. (The downstairs anyways.)
I did theater [...]

After the show

We didn’t get rained out. Rained on, but not rained out. This is from my camera phone outside my house when I got home about 9:30 last night. BIG storm. Missed us, but hit a lot of places around.
Gotta run. Busy busy day…

Hot as…

…an accordion player doing Shakespeare in the Park.
A few more garden pics for Monday. Yes, those are weeds. These pics are a few weeks old. You should see the size of them now! The show went well this weekend. The weather was oppressive and audiences were small. Yesterdays’ heat index was in the upper 90’s [...]

Another opening, another show!

Tonight went well. Very well! I’m actually quite in awe of the rest of the cast pulling this off as well as they did with as few run throughs as we’ve had.
‘The Medley’ was a hit. dammit. Actual applause. There’s no way we can cut it now! There’s part of me that doesn’t want to [...]

Weird

I think I might actually be a little nervous about this opening tonight.

I think I’ve figured it out 2007
“funeral dirges” defined 2006
got it 2006

One run, one hit, one error

We made it through the whole play tonight! First run: three days before opening. We almost have all the props. Those sniping comments are just some aditional frustration at the lack of “production” this company has. I finished my costume by renting a short-sleeved peasant blouse and a black lace up bodice. Yeah, don’t get [...]

updates

My brother does NOT have cancer. Yipee! Blood clots are dissolved (mostly) and the thing they biopsied turns out was an infection (yuk!) So they sent him home with blood thinners, antibiotics, and instructions for eating correctly with Type2 Diabetes and how to quit smoking pills/patches/something. No word on the drinking part.  But that is [...]

in summary…

It finally rained about 5:00. It poured actually. As in flooding streets and freeways.
We didn’t get through the whole show. Again. Partly because we started so late because the board (with the props and the tent and “stumps”) didn’t show up until after we were supposed to have started, and partly because it rained a [...]

Blue Skies

It’s a beautiful morning. Last night the weatherman said a 70% chance of rain today. Looks like we’re dodging it for the morning at least. I’m off to get guitar strings, some final touches for my costume and then a run through at the park starting at 1:00 and ending around 5:00. What a way [...]
